The Great Lakes Recovery Centers is a non-profit agency which specializes in the prevention and treatment of substance addiction. Great Lakes Recovery Centers offer these program services throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Northern Wisconsin.
The mission of Great Lakes Recovery Centers is to offer a recovery program aimed to cater to people from the Northern, Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin who experience varying substance abuse issues.
Great Lakes Recovery Centers believes that substance dependency, alcohol or other forms of drug addiction, is a disease that affects persons, members of their family, and the community as a whole. The treatment of this illness can be best facilitated with an array of programs provided by caring, highly trained professionals, involving the individual, their families, and the community. It is only through this comprehensive approach that long term recovery is made possible.
Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc. is proud to have in their programs a full line of mental health treatment services via its wholly owned subsidiary, Aspen Breeze Psychological Services. Specialty Programs
Throughout the center’s existing programs, the facility also offers the following specialty programs, as well as other services. Take note however, that unless otherwise indicated, some of the services are not available at all center locations.
Women and Infants Program
This program involves pregnant women or women with children, up to age 11, the clients participate not only in regular inpatient treatment regimens at the New Hope House for Women, but also have their children enrolled in treatment along with them. The maternal or pregnancy services are offered and coordinated with the highly qualified medical staff. Daycare and transportation are also included in the program. A full case management for both the mother and her children are all provided.
Women and Families Program
This program provides further services for women with children who also require treatment, but are having problems with daycare, transportation, and other issues that affect those in search of recovery. This program is available through all of the Michigan treatment centers.
Intensive Maintenance Program (IMP)
This program facilitates an intensive follow-up, counseling, continued care, and case management for the youths who have successfully completed treatment at the Youth Services program. These services actively supervise the youth right after their treatment, and help them, as well as their families adjust, when they return to their home communities.
Services
Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc. offers one of the best outpatient and inpatient residential care within the Midwest region. Eight locations are available for outpatient services, three locations set for adult inpatient treatments, and one for youth residential programs. The outpatient clinics offer the following services: Assessments (Adult and Adolescent), Drivers License Review and Appeal Assessment, Individual Counseling Sessions, Group Therapy Sessions, Court Assessments, Educational Groups, Prevention Services, Intensive Outpatient Counseling, and Continued Care Counseling.
The facility’s inpatient centers provide a full range of services, in addition to substance abuse counseling, and includes employment or education services and referrals, health services and referrals, family and relationship counseling, specialty counseling, continued care planning, recreation therapy, and specialty programming to fit each client’s individual needs. All centers are staffed 24-hrs daily, in a clean and comfortable environment with up to date safety protocols.
