White Deer Run is one of the providers of treatment for drug and alcohol addiction recovery in Pennsylvania. The program is assessed and provided by a highly experienced team of professionals specializing in multiple disciplines, within this team is a Medical Director certified in addiction medicine, a licensed Masters Level Family Therapist, a 24 hour nursing staff, certified addiction counselors and an accredited educational program for adolescents. The weekend program involves the whole family and includes educational groups, which adopts conjoint family sessions.
The main facility is located in Ellenwood, Pennsylvania, and is strategically situated on 150 acres of beautiful countryside. White Deer Run also operates three other inpatient facilities, which are located at Lancaster, Lebanon and Mt. Pleasant, including the Cove Forge Behavioral Health System, which consists of 9 treatment sites. There are also a large number of facilities for outpatients located all throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Each of White Deer Run’s facilities expresses a relaxed atmosphere that lends itself to supporting personal reflection and healing for both adults, and adolescents.
The treatment programs WDR provides all have something in common, and these are:
-Twelve Step Program Model
-transportation is provided to and from the treatment locations
-Highly skilled, multi-disciplinary teams of professionals

In Patient Non-Hospital Detoxification
Detoxification is the first step on the difficult road to recovery. WDR inpatient non-hospital detoxification programs allow you the time you need to devote, in reducing your withdrawal symptoms.
In Patient Residential CD Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation consists of treating the disease of addiction, which involves physical, mental and spiritual rehabilitation; rebuilding a better person by the end of the program. This accomplished through daily group and individual counseling, patients slowly develop understanding and increased self-awareness making their own recovery, more achievable than ever.
Partial Hospitalization
Programs which denote partial hospitalization are designed for clients who do not need 24-hour supervised care, but do require a more intensive treatment that can be availed through outpatient services.
Halfway House
The Halfway Houses are purposed to assist men and women in preventing addiction relapse, helping them develop the skills and self-motivation needed to successfully acclimate to a drug-free lifestyle and to maintain sobriety after they leave the facility.
Intensive Outpatient Program
The outpatient program is designed to provide a structured informational, educational and supportive therapeutic environment to identify clinical problems significant to the specific case, which could possibly interfere with the recovery of the client from chemical dependency.
Outpatient Individual, Group and Family Therapy
The therapy programs involve schedules for the individual, group, and family sessions; which encompass the sustained recovery from chemical dependency, and education of the disease, also know as addiction.
Mental Health Residential Treatment Program
Each of the acute Mental Health Residential Treatment Facility for Adolescents (RTF) provides caring intensive inpatient services to adolescents with considerably serious emotional disturbances, mental illness and acute behavioral disorders. The purpose of the Mental Health Program for Adolescents is to achieve stability of the primary diagnosis while still maintaining a level of function, which enables the adolescent to return to live in safety within a community setting.
CD Assessment
CD assessments are done on a periodic basis, to determine the level of care is best applied to the client.
